Taxonomy & Merchandising are core to how multi-category businesses are organized on the site and allow users to discover what the site offers in order for them to be compelled to convert. We will look at competitor use cases and apply these concepts to ongoing strategy.
Storytelling methods used in the product & design world, as well as other creative formats. We will look at competitive content strategy & standard style guides that other companies develop.

Metrics in the eCommerce landscape, how to apply them and how tools are used to automate them. We will look at different inventory & fulfillment models and how they impact the business.
The importance of the User, the User Persona and develop an initial persona for our projects, as well as User Testing.
An overview of the current eCommerce landscape and look at some case studies to see what has worked vs. what has not for businesses. We will look at the multiple elements of product for eCommerce platforms and dig into data to discover trends to begin developing ideas.
